THIS IS YOUR LIFE - Brian Conley, actor and comedian, was surprised by Michael Aspel during the curtain call of Jolson, the Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London.

Brian, who was born in London, studied at the Barbara Speake Stage School before working as a Bluecoat at Pontin’s holiday camp. While touring with the comedy band Tomfoolery, his comedy potential was spotted and after working as a television warm-up man, he later appeared in several television comedy sketch shows.

In 1989, he starred in his own comedy sketch show, Brian Conley: This Way Up and later, in 1992, his own variety show, The Brian Conley Show, which became that year's most-watched light entertainment programme. He made his West End debut in 1991 in the musical Me and My Girl.
